This year, the French team from My Human Kit fablab set themselves the challenge of creating an <\/span>open-source hand prosthesis<\/span> capable of overcoming the 8 Cybathlon events. Faced with the giants of the bionics industry, they are confident: <\/span>\"The great scientific inventions for the disabled are often unusable, because they are not made by disabled people and are far too expensive. We offer simpler solutions, so that we can live with our disability better and be more independent\"<\/span> explains Nicolas Huchet, founder of the fablab and designer of his own robotic hand, an invention that has taken him all over the world and to TV studios. He now has just one goal: to create the best possible hand prosthesis to share with as many people as possible, and promote the inclusion of people with disabilities in society. The Cybathlon has all the light it needs to make this <\/span>low-budget<\/span> prosthesis visible, <\/span>in the service of a great battle.<\/span> Will the solidarity-based, artisanal association of cyber-scientific geniuses be able to stand up to the big companies in the prosthesis industry?
